We (the exchange students and Ravi kaka) went to Mumbai for 2 days in February. We saw the Gateway to India, which was built to welcome the Queen of England to India during the British rule over India. We also went to a planetarium where we watched an entire star and constellation program in Hindi and a children's science museum. We took a long ferry to a small island where there are ancient caves with huge elephants carved into the rock. I just had to take the word of the few that went, most of us didn't want to pay the 250 rupees that they charge foreigners... as opposed to the 10 I think that it was for Indians.
About Me
- Suzy in India
- Im on foreign exchange for one year in Pune India. It's been an interesting transition going from my little town of 4,800 to this hot city of 5 million plus. Everyday is a new adventure here, so I'll try and keep you up to snuff on the latest rickshaw rides and elephant baths.... yes I bathed an elephant.

my suzita! I just can't wait to see more on your blog! I love the picture of the elephant. I have already decided to matte it with a nice deep red and frame it to hang somewhere nice.
